This is a shut off arm controlled  ice maker. It mounts to the plate with 3 small screws in the bottom.  Two screws in the front by the head and one in the center close to the rear.  Please note the longer12" wiring lead as pictured on the listing as opposed to the original 4" lead. That is the only difference between this and the original unit...guaranteed! The longer lead 'problem' is too ez to solve by simply looping it one time to shorten the excess slack. Please see BOTH pictures. The power plug adapter on the original will have to be transferred from the original to the new ice maker and will fit perfectly into the lead end connections just as it does with the original....guaranteed!!!

This in a NEW OEM product and not an aftermarket look alike or a refurbished product. We will  be sending out the 5X more durable M1 SA8868 in substitution for the number listed. Please trust us on this. We've been doing this a long time and are 100% POSITIVE you'll be better off with this schematically identical, and much better built replacement part. This ice maker comes with a 24 month replacement warranty as do most ice makers sold at all our sites. Please remember NOT to place and foreign food or drink containers in the ice bucket just below the ice maker. If the shut off arm is impaired during the cycle, it can damage and ruin the entire ice maker.

If the original ice maker was installed with a 3/16" layer of thermal mastic compound on the bottom of the ice maker, then this one will need to be also. Sometimes the original compound can be used in the new installation sometimes not. The Ice Maker Store does not offer this but it may be purchased at the link below:
