The item listed is an O.E.M. single solenoid valve manufactured by Whirlpool for KitchenAid. It is very versatile and will plug and play into many other makes and models including GE, Kitchen Aid, Kenmore, Maytag, Amana, Magic Chef, Viking and more. If your refrigerator offers water and ice service then this valve WILL NOT BE COMPATIBLE!!! Some of the older valves may not look or mount in the rear exactly the same, but from a functionality standpoint, this valve will interface with most comparably designed ice maker systems just fine. If you are unsure on compatibility, please call or text The Ice Maker Store at 3014048258 or email refrigerator make, manufacture date, and model number to AskDon@TheIceMakerStore.com
This valve is made for ice service ONLY ice maker systems For all intents and practical functionality purposes, this single valve will effectively plug and play with most all top mount and bottom freezer ice service only refrigerators manufactured within the last 25 years. Most ice service systems have 1/4" brass or stainless steel threaded intake for the supply line. Some of the older ones have a 1/4" to garden hose connection. This is straight 1/4 w/o the garden hose adapter and is absolutely compatible!!! From there this valve has the new quick connect fitting going to the tube from the valve up the back of the freezer to the ice maker. The tubing feeding from older valves is most cases is a thinner stock and for that reason, The Ice Maker Store includes the 1/4" tubing going up the back of the freezer with the sale at n/c.
