The item pictured is a cheaper, home made substitution valve for older built in KitchenAid models offering ice service only. We came up with this at a customers request. He installed without issue and it works perfectly in tandem with the ice maker albeit without bracket mounting which has no bearing on functionality anyway. The inlet would be the white 1/4 x 1/4 inch quick connect union whose clear tubing leads to the brass nut towards the bottom of the picture. Anyone willing to bypass the bracket mounting has perfect functionality at half the cost!!
